On this page I will attempt to
tell the tale of my Family Tree.
It has been quite an adventure discovering all about
my ancestors, and a very rewarding experience.
I have traced my ancestors back as
far 1801 on both sides. The family names I am
researching are:
Perrett. Hooper. Hamblin. Cook.
Sweatman. Foster. Pratt. Childs.
My parents were born in Gloucestershire, and were
third cousins. I discovered the Hooper
connection and traced them back to Sherborne,
Gloucestershire. The gravestone pictured belongs to
William Hooper, a great,great,cousin who was a pipe
and tabour man for Sherborne Morris during the
1880's. As a devoted morris dancer myself that was
quite an exciting find. |
